Amorim Santos: The Gritty Brush Font for Bold Campaign Graphics

I was staring at a mountain of assets for a client’s new online course launch. The product was all about unlocking raw creativity, and my initial mockups with a safe, geometric sans-serif were falling flat. They looked clean, but they whispered when the brand needed to shout. The campaign needed a jolt of energy, something with texture and attitude that felt earned, not polished. That’s when I scrolled past Amorim Santos in my font library and decided to give it a real-world test drive.

Amorim Santos is not a font that asks for permission. It’s a high-impact brush script defined by its bold, gritty strokes and unapologetically handcrafted texture. The personality is rebellious, direct, and vibrantly human—it carries the spirit of street art and studio wall scribbles into the digital space. This isn’t about delicate beauty; it’s about communication with raw confidence.

Putting Amorim Santos to Work in a Live Campaign

For the course launch, I needed visuals that cut through the noise of a busy social feed. I started with the hero banner for the landing page. Using “Unlock Your Raw Style” set in Amorim Santos over a dark, textured background created an immediate, magnetic focal point. The font’s inherent weight and rough edges made the promise feel tangible and urgent.

The real test came in the smaller formats. On a mobile preview of an Instagram post, I held my breath. Would the detailed texture and irregular baseline become a blurry mess? To my relief, the core bold strokes of Amorim Santos held up remarkably well. Even at sizes as small as a Reels cover thumbnail, the letterforms remained distinct and legible, their character intact. The key is understanding its role: Amorim Santos excels as a display font for short, impactful messaging. It’s perfect for:

Building a Visual Hierarchy That Grabs and Guides

In the course campaign, Amorim Santos became our primary voice for the hero message. Its raw texture established the brand’s core mood of authentic creativity. For supporting information—like course details, dates, and calls-to-action—I paired it with a very clean, neutral sans-serif. This contrast was crucial. The pairing created a clear visual hierarchy: Amorim Santos shouted the emotional hook, and the sans-serif calmly delivered the necessary details without competing.

This font pairing strategy is essential. Amorim Santos, as a dominant script font with so much personality, needs a straightforward partner. A simple geometric sans-serif or a minimal serif font provides the balance, ensuring readability and preventing visual fatigue. For this project, the combination made our promotional emails and website headers feel cohesive yet dynamic. The brand recognition came from that consistent, bold first impression Amorim Santos provided.

Readability and Context: Knowing Its Limits

While it shines in display roles, using Amorim Santos effectively means knowing where not to use it. This is a practical must for any marketer or designer. Its textured, irregular baseline and detailed stroke endings are not designed for long-form copy. Avoid using it for:

For the course campaign, we kept it strictly to headlines and decorative highlights. On image overlays, whether on light or dark backgrounds, ensuring high contrast was key—a light drop shadow or a subtle background tint behind the text often helped the letters “pop” cleanly off complex photos.

Practical Considerations for Campaign Deployment

Before committing Amorim Santos to a full campaign, a thorough review of its technical assets is a wise step. As a premium font in the Script Amp category, check the included file formats for compatibility with your design software (like Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva). Explore if it offers stylistic alternates or ligatures, which can add even more unique flair to headlines. Most importantly, verify its commercial font license covers your intended use—whether that’s digital ads, client-branded templates, merchandise, or bundled within your own digital products.

Testing its multilingual support is also crucial if your campaign has a global audience. Does it include the necessary glyphs for your target languages? These checks prevent last-minute roadblocks and ensure your bold creative vision translates seamlessly into final, usable design assets.

In the end, the online course launch visuals built with Amorim Santos achieved exactly what we needed: they felt different. They didn’t look like every other creative tutorial ad on the internet. The font gave the campaign a cohesive, edgy voice that resonated with an audience seeking authenticity. It proved that in a marketer’s toolkit, a font with this much raw personality isn’t just a stylistic choice—it’s a strategic one for making a powerful first impression and building a memorable brand identity from the very first graphic.
